Meet William A. Stephens Jr.
Retired Army Sergeant First Class | Award-Winning Author | Mental Health Advocate
William A. Stephens Jr. is more than a veteran - he’s a survivor, a father, a truth-teller, and a beacon of hope for those navigating the hidden wars within. After dedicating over two decades of his life to military service, William’s battle didn’t end on the battlefield. It continued in silence - in sleepless nights, emotional numbness, and the dark reality of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). But instead of letting that pain define him, he chose to share his truth.
Through his books, The Broken Mirror and The Mirror - Second Edition, William opens the door to deeply personal stories of trauma, healing, and redemption. His writing blends therapeutic poetry with raw, unfiltered reflections from a life shaped by service, sacrifice, and survival. His words are not just meant to be read — they’re meant to be felt, remembered, and passed along to others who may be suffering in silence.
William is the founder of 1821 Productions, a platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of the unheard. His mission is simple yet profound: to be the voice of the voiceless, especially for veterans and their families who too often fall through the cracks. Every book sale is more than a transaction - it’s a step toward awareness, a contribution to his daughter’s future, and a ripple of change in the fight against veteran suicide.
Despite personal battles and mental health struggles, William continues to write, speak, and live with purpose — often using his RV as a mobile base for his outreach and advocacy. He actively supports those facing homelessness, drawing from experience and empathy to guide and uplift others. His journey is ongoing, but his message is clear: healing is possible, and no one should have to walk that road alone.
